Mark & Caroline invite you to their fabulous home from home. Located right on the edge of the medieval village, this beautiful Gite with heated swimming pool offers the best of both worlds. Stunning views & quiet location, while being a 10 minute walk into the quaint medieval village to get your freshly baked bread or newspaper, visit the bustling Friday market for fresh local produce or relax in one of the eight restaurants for a leisurly lunch or supper without the worry of who has to drive home.
The pool is heated from June to September and has a large terrace to enjoy the views over the Lot valley and river, an outside shower and shaded area.
The pretty village of Puy L'Eveque is well situated whether you are spending a week or more on holiday or just a few days. Being located high above the Lot river is a bonus because of the stunning views of the river, adjoining vineyards and hills beyond.
There are a wide variety of things to do and see locally such as: Kayaking, Cycling, Fishing, vineyard tours/wine tasting, walking, sightseeing, visiting historical villages and monuments, horse riding and full sized 9 hole and 18 hole golf courses nearby. Or you can just while the days away at the many local day or night markets.
Cahors is the main city in the area and is an easy 25 minutes drive and boasts many good restaurants, shopping, markets, sightseeing river tours in the main tourist season and has many attractions to see.
In August there is a Jazz/Blues festival week with musicians attending from all over the world. Friday night is a favourite of the week when some bars/Restaurants have live bands playing.
Puy L'Eveque has everything you need for everyday conveniences which include: a supermarket, a weekly fresh produce market on Tuesdays, a nice selection of restaurants from fine dining to pizza close by as well as some lovely artisan shops, banks, bakeries and a post office.
Caroline & Mark live on the property in the main house. They will welcome you and show you to your holiday home. You will be fully independent and your privacy will always be respected. However, if you need them for information, advice or any of the additional services they will be available to help!
The pool and pool house will be attended to every evening to ensure it is clean and tidy for you every day.
The rental properties are independent units within the main house each with their own private entrances and gardens.
The lane we are situated on is very quiet and turns into an unmade track a short distance up the lane. There are only about 12 houses, so it is very quiet but not isolated.
The rental properties provide a comfortable stay for our guests. A lot of thought has gone into what equipment we provide within the rentals to give a good standard and provide everything you need for a home from home.
There is ample parking for guest vehicles.
The beautiful swimming pool has Roman steps for easy access, A pool house with shaded area, fridge & shower. The pool is shared between the two Gites.
